A new partnership with local organizations!

On April 30th,
Urban Homeworks kicked-off the new partnership with
Tree Trust, MN
Internship Center, and
YouthBuild at 1314 15th Ave N in Minneapolis. The partners hosted a
groundbreaking that morning to begin this inaugural program and partnership.
The partnership will help youth to obtain their GEDs and train them in
construction skills. Over the next year, 20 students will be onsite for 40 hours
each week learning the construction trade, as well as
life skills that they will need to take responsibility for
their future success.
YouthBuild is a program funded through HUD
(U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) that helps low-income
high-school youth finish their education and learn the basics of the
construction trade by building housing for low-income people.
